About Chorus Kansas City
Chorus Kansas City, also known as Chorus KC, is the Greater Kansas area’s largest non-auditioned community choir. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming space where adults of all ages can come together to celebrate the joy of singing and the connections it fosters.
We launched in December 2024 and had two sold-out concerts in 2025. We had over 160 vocalists participate in our Fall 2025 session, clearly showing that there is a need in our community for a group like ours. Our members range in age from 20s to 90s, making Chorus KC a truly intergenerational community built on shared passion and mutual support.
As a member-driven organization, Chorus KC operates with the guidance of a board of directors elected by our members—those who support the chorus, whether they sing or simply believe in our mission. This unique structure ensures that every voice in our community has a role in shaping the future of our choir.
In addition to our main chorus, we are proud to offer a select group, the Kansas City Chamber Singers, composed of auditioned members from the larger ensemble. This smaller choir provides an opportunity for those seeking additional musical challenges and performances, while remaining rooted in the supportive spirit of our broader community.
Our commitment goes beyond music; we strive to build a community where friendships flourish, creativity thrives, and everyone feels inspired to contribute. Registration is now open for our upcoming season—come sing with us and help us continue building a legacy of song, inclusivity, and connection.
