The Chorus Kansas City Spring Concert explores musical expressions of the soul. Included are works from the Sacred Harp tradition, spirituals, and contemporary American composers. The featured work is composer Jake Runestad’s “The Lighthouse Keeper” accompanied by chamber orchestra. The composition, described as an “ode to a dear friend”, is a series of vignettes capturing a life journey of joy, beauty, loss, and renewal. Kansas City Chamber Singers Concert, Sunday, April 19th Ticket Link: Unity Tickets

This concert is a collaboration between the Youth Chorus of Kansas City and the Kansas City Chamber Singers (the director’s select small group of Chorus Kansas City). This event will be held in the beautiful sanctuary of Visitation Parish Church at 5141 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
