The Gifts We Cannot Unwrap is an evening of choral music celebrating these immeasurable treasures through works that explore wonder, joy, peace, and connection.
Performed by Chorus Kansas City and the Kansas City Chamber Singers, this program journeys from the exuberance of Angels We Have Heard on High and Brightest and Best to the quiet reflection of In the Bleak Midwinter and I Will Light Candles This Christmas. Along the way, audiences will encounter the beauty of nature in Afternoon on a Hill, the warmth of companionship in Fare Thee Well Love and You Do Not Walk Alone, and the wonder of the season through holiday favorites including Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and The Holly and the Ivy.

CKC at the Royals - performed the National Anthem - May 27 - Yankees versus the Royals.
The Chorus Kansas City Spring Concert explored musical expressions of the soul. Included were works from the Sacred Harp tradition, spirituals, and contemporary American composers. The featured work was composer Jake Runestad’s “The Lighthouse Keeper” accompanied by chamber orchestra. The composition, described as an “ode to a dear friend”, is a series of vignettes capturing a life journey of joy, beauty, loss, and renewal. The concert also included performances by Kansas City Chamber Singers and the Lawrence High School Choir.
